About the Author Lisette Brodey was born and raised in Pennsylvania. After high school, she moved to New York City where she attended Pace University and studied drama. After ten years in New York, several of them working in the radio industry, she moved to Los Angeles, where she held various positions at Paramount Studios in Hollywood and CBS Studio Center in Studio City, CA. Back on the East Coast, she worked for many years as a freelance writer, specializing in PR and the entertainment industry. In 2010, she returned permanently to the Los Angeles area. She is the author of five novels. Her first-published book, Crooked Moon (General/Literary Fiction) was published in 2008. Her first-written, second-published book, Squalor, New Mexico (General Fiction/Literary Fiction) was published in 2009. Molly Hacker Is Too Picky! (Women's Fiction/Chicklit), was published December 1, 2011. In October 2013, Lisette's fourth novel, Mystical High, book #1 in a YA paranormal trilogy, The Desert Series, was published. In November 2014, her fifth novel, Desert Star, book #2 in The Desert Series was published.In January 2013, the author edited and published a book of her mother's poetry (written 50 years earlier) called MY WAY TO ANYWHERE by Jean Lisette Brodey. After all, I am a man and I feared that the chick-lit-iness of the tome would be beyond me.I need not have worried. Molly Hacker is a heroine that speaks across genders, laying bare the foibles, the fancies and the philosophy of the human condition when it comes to love.Molly is an endearing character, full of contradiction. She is smart, sassy and sexy but she's also vulnerable, self reflective, searching for love - even though she might deny it.Lisette's writing style is immediately accessible. It is smart, cracking and paints a picture vividly. Her characters are well drawn and appealing and none are wasted in a taut and attractive story.I thoroughly enjoyed Molly's trials and tribulations and I have to admit, I'm now hooked on chick-lit.Molly Hacker Is Too Picky is a feel good must read.

Fun, witty, and insightful By Christa Polkinhorn As so many of Lisette Brodey's fans, I "met" Molly Hacker on her blog and was very curious to "connect" with her again in the novel. She is quite a character, witty, spunky, and a good sport. However, when it comes to finding Mr. Right, she has to overcome quite a few obstacles: her own somewhat confused ideas and feelings about love, her well-meaning but somewhat pushy friends, an important woman (the she-devil) in the media industry who is out to sabotage her.To say that the book is entertaining is an understatement. It is a real page-turner, devilishly funny, engaging, and sensitive. It deals in an insightful way with problems of love, friendships, and relationships we all struggle with sometimes. And it gives us a fascinating, tongue-in-cheek picture of the world of journalism and the media.Molly for all her blunders is someone you just have to like. All the characters are well-developed, vivid, and genuine. I particularly enjoyed the exchange between Molly and her best buddy, Randy. What a riot!Another successful story by a very talented author!

Schultz I've been enthralled with Lisette Brodey's books since I picked up "Crooked Moon" and was blown away by the brilliance of her style, unique characters and the emotion she engendered in the reader--me. Molly Hacker Is Too Picky demonstrates how a single woman on her journey to find love, can also experience lots of laughter, tears and life-long friendships along the way.The repartee between her and office pal Randy,is fodder for some of the best humor between friends that has ever been written. Author Brodey excels at both character development and realistic but entertaining dialogue that makes her characters come alive before your eyes. They are unveiled in such a way that the reader gets to know them with their foibles and their tender qualities.These are people that one might love to have as friends for a lifetime.And on her journey to find love, Molly finds herself, appreciates her strengths and realizes she may not be too picky after all.In fact, she deserves to have the best people surround her as each nurtures the other along the way.If you haven't read Molly hacker Is Too Picky! you are missing a wonderful experience!
