He is also best-friends with a reanimated mouse. Mummy Mouse, armed with an ancient Egyptian curse, seeks world domination by sucking the life force out of CK's neighbors, turning them all into mummies too. Not cool. But Mummy Mouse is the only friend CK has, so he tries to be supportive.The book has a dry humor that will be appreciated by adults reading it aloud with their children and just enough twisted dead mouse escapades to entertain the eight to ten-year-old boy crowd. The ending has an unexpected twist (even for this adult reader) and sets up a sequel.My eleven-year-old loved it, even though he told me he thinks it's for younger kids. He wants to read the sequel.
