By Amazon Customer The author possesses a refreshing and witty writing style. I've never read a book quite like Misty. There's romance but the focus of the plot remains on the main character, Misty. Misty is unapologetic for her vigorous physical relationship with her boyfriend, but I didn't have to slog through pages of 50 Shades of Gray sex scenes. I'm not a prude. I'm just such a prolific reader, sex scenes have become gratuitous and repetitive in my opinion. Misty's commentary on her life or those around her, had me chuckling out loud many times. The author's development of the "Groundhog Day" plot was clever and not at all tedious. Though the novel possesses a paranormal aspect, its not enough to discourage readers who do not care for that genre. For the readers who do enjoy a paranormal twist, Misty provides a novel approach to resurrection after death. And that's not all, Misty must solve, who is killing her and why. Misty is not alone as she tracks down clues. She has her grams, who is battling dementia and lives in a nursing home. Misty also has the neighborhood homeless fellow, dubbed "Cat Guy" to help her piece all the clues together. I enjoyed the author's descriptive abilities. She is masterful in her portrayal of the nursing home and Misty's encounters with the nurses in the hospital, to give a couple of examples. The colorful characters, the unique twists to story, and the mystery add up to an exceptionally entertaining book. I eagerly await more books from this author.

Sometimes "Groundhog Day" type stories can be repetitive or tedious but the way this story is told keeps it fresh and entertaining. The characters are a lot of fun and they get more entertaining after each "blackout."
